Motivation

Motivation is a key component in performing well at school and work and in meeting one’s personal goals, such as participating in preferred activities or staying with a fitness plan. Some individuals struggle to maintain their motivation or may be ambivalent about making necessary changes in their lives. For some, this difficulty with motivation may impact their school achievement, work performance, relationships with others, or physical health. In such cases, psychotherapy can be helpful in aiding an individual in making steps toward their goals.

Many individuals experience a lack of motivation. It can be related to psychological and medical challenges, such as depression and marijuana use.
